I’ve always believed that we are all creative. No, maybe we can’t draw or invent a Pinterest-worthy wreath, but we all create. A spreadsheet can be creative. Finding a unique solution is creative. Creation is everywhere.
The fist definition of creative according to my Dictionary.com app is: having the quality or power of creating. Creating they define as: to cause to come into being; to evolve from one’s own thought or imagination.
That sounds a lot like manifesting to me, another something I believe in and talk a lot about here. We create from our thoughts the environment around us, and sometimes we get to do it in conjunction with another.
Whether you believe in something greater than yourself or not, it’s a lot more interesting to co-create or join forces with another. I have friends with whom I can co-create amazing decorating and others who help me with dog training challenges. I have a friend who is co-manifesting with her Amazon goddess and another who talks on a first name basis to JC.
The point is, it’s more fun to create with another whom you respect and listen to. If you’re truly listening and volleying back and forth, the energy or excitement level increases and the result exceeds what either of you may have done on your own.
I was texting with a friend the other day about her new chaps when I was reminded of this. She was excited to share what she and the artist came up with together, as a team. For me, that’s where the juice is - finding that someone who loves to play the game and who knows that we were meant to create in community.
Everyone is focused on the new year and new goals right now, but I challenge you to find a partner in crime who makes you and your creations even better than you could have dreamed on your own. Be less worried about ownership and more focused on amazing. May you co-create with awesomeness this year!!
