Introduction

We are meant to have everything and anything we can dream.

How does that sentence ^ make you feel? Are you all, “Hell yes!” or “Well, not everything …” Are you jumping already into excuses and negatives instead of leaning in and screaming at me to get through this last word?

Everything changes when your mindset changes and when you start making choices based on faith, love, and gratitude. We get to control our thoughts and how we respond to the world around us with every single breath. As you will soon see, “mindset” is made up of several elements all working together towards the same goal. To me “mindset” is our most powerful superhero weapon which we can use for good or “evil.” You are co-creating with the universe with every thought, belief, action and I’m going to show you how to harness all that power for getting what you truly want.

Here's Jen Sincero's definition of mindset:

“Your beliefs are driving the bus. They take you where you’re going whether you’re paying attention or not. Your thoughts are the tour guide. The person up front with the microphone and the clipboard. She can lean over and yank the wheel, slam on the brakes, hit the gas and flip the bus. She can do whatever whenever she wants. She usually works in harmony with your beliefs but she has all the veto power.

“Your words are the assistant to your thoughts and beliefs. Your words back them up, voice their opinions, anchor in their message, keep it real. Your emotions are the fuel. They are ignited by your thoughts and can change your beliefs and direction of your life. Without your emotions, you’re going nowhere new and exciting.

“Your actions build the road. They pave the path for your beliefs but will reroute should thoughts and emotions make a change in plans and decide they want to stop at Dairy Queen or something.

“When all these facets of your mind, body, spirit are in alignment, focused on the same desire, singing 99 bottles of beef on the wall as they merrily roll along, you can manifest all you desire. ... All members of “Team Mindset” must be on the field bringing their “A game.” Yet it’s your thoughts that are the biggest bad asses of them all.“

Gawd, I love that quote. It sums it up so well that I had to pull my own "bus" over to get the quote transcribed into my iPhone.

Step One: Get clear

We all want a bunch of things, from a dream home down to a Q in obedience, we all want stuff. Obviously, these things are not all created equally, yet they are equal - at least in the eyes of the universe. Our responsibility is to clearly define what it is we want in order to manifest as if you were telling a genie - a genie who will parse every word! So no loopholes! Your goal should be so clear and carefully constructed that Aladdin's own lawyer would have to grant it to you.

Step Two: define why

You already know I'm big on defining your "why," yet this time we are going to get it down to the individual goal level. Why do you want what you want? What will it do for you? For those around you? How would it change things? How would it catapult you forward?

As in Jen's quote above, we know that emotion provides the fuel, and we are going to need fuel to see our manifesting through to its miracle finish.

Step Three: Move your feet

The universe rewards action, and while we may not have all the answers, we need to at least "show the universe what we want." I picked up a phrase recently, "inspired action." It's perfect - we have to take actions that are inspired by our goals. Actions that while they won't take us across the finish line, they will move un in the right direction, even if it's just a shuffle.

Decide that you’re going to figure it out because it is important to you. Ask the universe for guidance. “What would you have me do? Who would you have me talk to? What would you have me say?” are paraphrased from the spiritual text, A Course in Miracles, and are a way of saying, “show me.” Guidance shows up in all kinds of ways, an email, synchronicity, an idea that comes while meditating. Allow yourself to be guided and you will be.

Step Four: Get out of your way

Now the hard part: Let go. Set it free to figure out how it will get to you. The universe has a WAY better imagination than you do. Open up and let it happen! Step away from the controls! Be willing to let yourself be surprised. We really have no control over the HOW, no matter what we think.

You also have to have faith. Faith and trust also help you give “how” the heave-ho. If I believe that it’s just a matter of time and opportunity before I get my Airstream, then I can let go of micro-managing the how and have patience.

[HOMEWORK] Choose something and work the process

Take something that you want to manifest and work this process. Apply all of your tools - visualization, meditation, mantras ... Create a goal so wonderful that just thinking about it manifesting makes you smile uncontrollably.

And if you need extra help you can always get the workbook (ha) or reach out and schedule one of your calls :) I cannot wait to learn what you have manifested!!

Miracles are on their way for me.

+

My dream cannot pass me by. It's already on the way.

We continue our manifesting theme by taking on mantras you may need to keep your faith strong. Faith, trust, belief all get tested when what you want doesn't show up on your timeline - Can I get an "Amen!" I know I'm not alone in that ;)

This month's audio is one of my personal go-tos when I need to up my manifesting game. WARNING: It's loooong. Two hours long! The link follows and if I were you I would save it off to a part of my computer where I could access it next time I have a long drive.

I have also played it at night to fall asleep. Not that it's boring, mind you, but that I kinda buy into the whole subconscious thing. I actually have a couple of things I listen to this way - can't hurt and it helps me Zzzzzz.

Obsessed With Manifesting

Perhaps you noticed on Facebook and from my last blog post , I got a little obsessed with the topic of manifesting this month, reading new authors and following new "gurus" online. As I told a bit of the story in that blog post , it all started when I realized that I had indeed manifested showing at Westminster, just not in the way I had thought.

So this month I am going to stick with the theme and go deeper.
