All with a dusting of dog hair.
Most advice tells you to choose one thing and focus in on it. While that seems to work for many "successful" people, it never quite stuck with me. I am passionate about great marketing and can get fired up about launch strategies, marketing infrastructure, and social strategies.
But I also get fired up about mentoring and developing talented people. I love "seeing the light go on" or learning that an individual took a different path because of something we talked about, be that in a corporate or private environment.
I’m also super dog crazy and have become a serious competitor in various venues with my Berners. I got excited when I procured a full-sized van, and my clothes get less corporate by the purchase. I love a big road trip; I crave open spaces and sunrises; I find that being primarily gluten-free blows when you like pizza as much as I do.
And so I have designed a life where I can pursue it all, and yes, I've done a webinar from the parking lot of a dog trial. I've also missed a dog show to jump on a plane to present a marketing strategy. Sometimes messy, never boring, always passionate.
I'm a midwest girl fully embracing the "virtual work" concept. So long as I have my dogs and a decent connection to the Internet, we can work together.
